Which AI Model is Best for Job Descriptions in 2025?

We tested ChatGPT, Gemini, & Claude across hundreds of job description tasks — here’s how each model performs and where they shine brightest.

ChatGPT was released to the public on November 30th 2022.

Shocked? So was I.

It’s been less than 3 years and OpenAi is on it’s 4th model version - with competitors including Claude and Gemini all going mainstream in that same time.

We began experimenting with ChatGPT in 2022 to create and update job descriptions. At the time, many HR professionals thought we had conjured up some kind of dark magic when they heard what we were doing.

AI has quickly become a mainstream tool for creating and updating job descriptions.

But with multiple models now on the market, which one delivers the best results?

We put ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to the test across hundreds of job description tasks — and compiled our findings into a full report.

  • Model Strengths

  • Model Weaknesses

  • Best Use Cases Per Model

So which model is best?

It depends on the use case.

At Mosh JD, we select the model depending on the goal/use case of the project as we’ve found each model excels in very specific ways.

  • ChatGPT is great for fast drafting, polishing, and adjusting the job description’s tone.

  • Gemini is ideal for data-driven tasks like comparing jobs, researching skills, and external benchmarking.

  • Claude excels at bias-free writing, compliance, summarizing multiple drafts, and protecting sensitive HR data.

Each model has its strengths — and the best results come from matching the right AI to the right job description task.
